Navodaya Result 2026: JNVST Class 6, 9 & 11 Selection List, How to Check & Important Dates

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has released the JNVST Navodaya Result 2026 for Class 6 on 17 March 2026 on its official website, and results for Classes 9 and 11 are expected in March 2026.

What Is Navodaya Result 2026?

The Navodaya Result 2026 is the selection and score list of students who appeared in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for admission to Classes 6, 9 and 11 in Navodaya schools across India.

This result decides who will get a seat in these government residential schools, which provide quality education with low cost and good hostel facilities.

Important Dates for 2026

Here are the key dates that common readers should know:

Class 6 Phase 1 exam: 13 December 2025

Class 6 result (Phase 1 / Summer bound session): 17 March 2026

Class 9 and 11 exam: 7 February 2026

Class 9 and 11 results: Expected in March 2026

Class 6 Phase 2 exam: 11 April 2026

Class 6 Phase 2 result: Expected in May 2026

How to Check Navodaya Result 2026 (Step by Step)

Any parent or student can check the result easily using a mobile phone or computer:

Open your browser and go to the official website: navodaya.gov.in

On the homepage, look for links like “JNVST Class 6 Result 2026” or “Navodaya Result 2026”.

Click on the result link: a login page or PDF link will open.

If the login page appears, enter:

Roll number

Date of birth (as given in your admit card)

Click on “Submit” or “View Result”. Your scorecard and selection status will appear on the screen.

Download the PDF or take a printout for the future admission process.

In many districts, a district‑wise selection list PDF is also released, where you can search for your name or roll number.

Details Mentioned in the Result

The online result or selection list usually shows the following:

Student’s name and roll number

Date of birth and category (General/OBC/SC/ST, etc.)

Name of the district and state

Marks or qualifying status in JNVST

Whether selected for admission (Yes/No)

If your name appears in the selection list, you will later receive information from the school or district office about document verification and admission dates.

What Happens After You Are Selected?

For selected students, the next steps are very important:

Document verification: You must show documents like a birth certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), residence proof, and school records.

Medical fitness: Some JNVs may ask for a basic medical fitness certificate.

Reporting to school: On the given date, parents/guardians should take the child to the allotted Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya to complete admission formalities.

Hostel and schooling: Navodaya schools provide residential education with a focus on academics, sports, and overall personality development as per their academic plans.

If you are on the waiting list, keep checking notices from the official website and local JNV, because seats sometimes open when selected candidates do not join.

Simple Tips for Parents and Students Always use the official website (navodaya.gov.in) to check results and not random social media links.

Keep your admit card safe till admission is fully completed, because roll number and date of birth are needed again and again.

If the site is slow on result day, wait for some time and try again during non‑busy hours like early morning or late night.

If your child is not selected, motivate them: they can still succeed through other schools and exams, as Navodaya is only one of many good opportunities.
